| Notice: working and full of interesting channels, but very slow. Unfortunately most of non Europeans use openpli, instead of openwebif. Probably openpli is good for db owners (it has a lot of professional features), but is very bad when you want to play streams externally.
Openpli can be found by scanning port 31339, instead of 8001. I have found an American openwebif too, but I won't post it because it would not survive wink

I understand what you mean. I also find openpli particularly jurassic with vlc streaming.
In fact - as far as I know - there's no chance to download entire playlists in openpli. I think even if using a third-party software which simulates the zapstream of Web-X-TV, the substance doesn't change.
Personally, I use zapstream and Web-X-TV to tune on a specified channel. Then I close the browser, and type on VLC:
http://IP:31344
where IP is the dreambox address
The method works, but this obviously means that more channels cannot be viewed at once, as one can watch on VLC only what is tuned on Web-X-TV.
