Someone say it's Orange, but I don't agree. I think the best French provider is SFR. Orange upload speeds are not great, while with SFR streaming is much smoother.

I'm from France, all providers have a low upload speed (worse than Italy) if no optic fiber Numericable has the best upload with 500kb/s but the number of dreambox is terribly low for an huge range.
You can see their upload speed on

I got my upload ISP upgraded from 1MB to 7MB since 1st November. I can upload vids faster
EVO ENfinity seems an average quality set top box (price: 100 euros). It works, but - having one tuner - does not allow to view all channels while the owner is tuned. Decent product, anyway.
Amiko Alien 2 is not recommended at all. In spite the triple tuner, no channels work except the one watched by the owner. And even this one has serious buffer problems... The price of this decoder is about 120 euros, which is too cheap for a triple tuner receiver. Probably the low price justifies its poor performance...
The ip seems static and has all Nilesat channels working. There's just one problem: the speed
For Turkish channels, I found a workaround (thanks to Netherlands!), but for Nilesat - as far as I know - there's no European provider with active channels. So you need to scan Middle-East ranges. And in the Middle-East (with only some exceptions in Isreal, Iran and Jordan) the internet speed is very low.
All polish channels work (the others are not active, although listed). MK-Digital is another interesting brand. The price of this decoder is around 150 euros. A little expensive for being a one-tuner receiver, but surely a good product.
